There are still, to this very day, SEO companies and even software companies touting their link exchange programs. It's a little shocking to see search engine optimization consultants, that should know better, flagrantly posting, right on their website, that one of the primary techniques that they will use to try to achieve higher search engine rankings for your website is to setup a link exchange. You see link exchanges are in direct violation of Google’s terms of service and ultimately their webmaster guidelines. For a supposed "search engine optimization specialist" to openly advertise that they will use methods, such as link exchanges, that could lead to your site being heavily penalized on the low end and completely banned from the Google search engine on the high, to me, is the epitome of stupidity.
We will be launching the new site with a lot of good resources for building your link quiver to maximize your search engine ranking for the long haul. Well, that and avoiding the wrath that will come upon you for excessively exchanging links.
